New Fortress Energy has signed a five-year leasing agreement with a reputable investment company in the United States to supply ten mobile turbines with a capacity of 300 megawatts. This agreement will help strengthen the company's liquidity and capitalize on the increasing energy demand domestically.

Details of the Leasing Agreement

New Fortress Energy has officially agreed to lease ten mobile turbines capable of producing up to 300 megawatts of electricity to a reputable American investment company. This agreement is set for an initial five-year term, and the delivery of the turbines is expected to begin gradually from the fourth quarter of 2026 and conclude in the first quarter of 2027. This deal will contribute to increasing profitability and strengthening the liquidity of New Fortress Energy.

Financial Impact Forecast

Wes Eden, CEO of New Fortress Energy, stated that the company has explored several opportunities to utilize these turbines and has chosen to partner with a reputable partner in the United States as the best option to achieve the company's priorities. He added: "This collaboration provides our company with high-quality cash flows and deploys our assets faster than alternative uses, responding to the growing electricity demand in the United States."

New Fortress Energy has also announced that its Fast LNG unit, also known as FLNG 1, is planning to return to service in the fourth quarter of 2026 based on recent negotiations with the turbine manufacturer. The FLNG 1 unit has been offline due to a mechanical issue with the gas turbine at the facility near Altamira, Mexico, which has led to reduced exports and a halt in operations until repairs are completed.

Future Developments of New Fortress Energy

New Fortress Energy has received a non-FTA LNG export license from the U.S. Department of Energy for a five-year period and has also secured a loan for the construction of its second facility, FLNG 2. Construction work on this facility is anticipated to be completed in the first half of 2026. These projects represent the ongoing development of New Fortress Energy in the energy market and could lead to an increase in its export capabilities.
