Seyed Ismail Hosseini, representative of Shiraz and Zarqan in the parliament, pointed out the country's energy situation and the existing challenges in this area, stating that power plants will be supplied with liquid fuel for the winter season. He emphasized that the country has a suitable capacity in electricity production and that liquid fuel reserves are at an acceptable level.
Country's Energy Situation
Hosseini mentioned that the energy sector is considered one of the strengths of the country, while also referring to the challenges that have existed in this sector in recent years. He added that the country's electricity production capacity has reached nearly 100,000 megawatts, but necessary optimization has not been carried out in the consumption sector. Additionally, Hosseini stressed that more actions need to be taken to reduce losses in the energy transmission and distribution sector.

Fuel Supply for Winter
This parliament representative continued by saying: "In the cool season, electricity and gas consumption does not reach its peak, and therefore there are no serious problems in supplying electricity and gas." He further stated that due to the increase in gas consumption in the residential and commercial sectors, the delivery of gas to some power plants may decrease. To compensate for this reduction, power plants will use liquid fuels such as diesel and fuel oil.
Hosseini also referred to the country's fuel production capacity and reserves, expressing hope that with this capacity, the upcoming winter will pass with minimal issues. He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Oil, adding that these ministries are working to ensure the necessary energy supply during the cold season.
Energy Management in Wartime Conditions
This parliament representative also pointed to the challenges of energy imbalance in wartime conditions, stating: "Even in normal conditions, the country faces imbalances in the energy sector." He emphasized the necessity of cooperation among the people and various agencies to overcome these challenges, stating that overcoming the energy imbalance requires consensus among different governmental agencies and the public.
Hosseini referred to the people's cooperation in wartime, saying: "People have been present in the squares and neighborhoods for over 200 nights, striving for the cause." He urged the public to complement this cooperation in the upcoming winter by consuming energy efficiently so that the country faces minimal problems.
Finally, Hosseini noted that the country's production capacities and fuel reserves, along with the efforts of executive bodies and public cooperation, can create the conditions for a low-challenge passage through the cold season.
