The Ministry of Energy announced that due to the decrease in temperature and electricity consumption in recent days, there is a possibility of reduced power outages starting from the beginning of the week. Hassan Bagloo, Deputy of Distribution Coordination at Tavanir Company, mentioned this during the 25th nationwide drill for smart management of electricity loss (Mahtab).

Impact of Temperature Decrease on Electricity Consumption

Bagloo stated that resolving the electricity imbalance depends on the balance between production and consumption and urged people to continue saving electricity. He also noted that the decrease in temperature could help reduce the imbalance and thus prevent unnecessary power outages.

Nationwide Smart Energy Management Drill

The nationwide Mahtab drill aims to smartly manage energy, collect unauthorized connections, and resolve illegal uses of the electricity network, especially in the mining sector. This drill is held every week on Mondays and Thursdays, with 1,730 teams from provincial electricity distribution companies participating.

The CEO of the Alborz Province Electricity Distribution Company also announced that 47 teams from this province participated in the 25th nationwide Mahtab drill. He added that since mid-June, with the anticipation of necessary measures and the formation of technical and operational teams in testing and inspection areas, they have had a good performance in managing electricity consumption.

Alborz Province's Rank in Smart Consumption Management

Bagloo pointed out that Alborz Province has secured the first rank in the country for smart energy loss management and conducting drills. This success reflects ongoing efforts in managing consumption and preventing energy waste in this province.

Ultimately, given the weather conditions and reduced electricity consumption, hopes for a reduction in power outages this season have increased. The Ministry of Energy advises the public to save electricity to prevent problems arising from energy imbalance.
