Ehsan Jan-Mohammadi, the chairman of the CNG Association of the country, emphasized in his recent remarks that the price of CNG fuel for consumers will not increase at all. These statements came in the wake of the rise in gasoline prices and the need to increase CNG consumption as an alternative.
Readiness of CNG Stations
Jan-Mohammadi also announced that about 2300 CNG stations across the country are ready to serve the public 24/7. This action is aimed at facilitating access to CNG fuel and reducing dependence on gasoline. He added that with the positive approach of the government and the increasing tendency of people to use CNG, these changes will be witnessed soon.
CNG's Share in Fuel Consumption
The chairman of the CNG Association of the country also pointed to the positive impact of CNG consumption on household economies, stating that people can travel about 200 kilometers with their vehicles by paying only 5 to 10 thousand tomans per refueling. Jan-Mohammadi advised the owners of 4.5 million dual-fuel vehicles in the country to only refer to CNG stations for their fuel needs. This action not only helps reduce gasoline imbalance but also leads to savings in household expenses.
CNG Consumption Statistics
Jan-Mohammadi further stated that accurate statistics on the increase in CNG consumption and the reduction in gasoline consumption from this source will be reported to the public at the beginning of Mehr. This information can assist consumers and policymakers in making better decisions regarding energy. Additionally, the increase in demand for CNG indicates a change in consumer behavior towards optimal fuel management and cost reduction.
