Solar Electricity Production Capacity in Tehran Province

Tehran province, following this approach, has prioritized the development of solar electricity production from large-scale power plants to other urban and rural capacities. The operational solar capacity of Tehran province, which was about 23 megawatts before the Fourteenth Government, has now reached approximately 400 megawatts. The province's management plan is to bring at least 1,000 megawatts of new capacity online by the end of this year and to advance about 3,000 megawatts next year.

With the addition of 6 megawatts of new capacity, Varamin has increased its share in the development of clean electricity and the reduction of energy imbalance in the province. This project not only helps increase electricity production during peak sunlight hours but also leads to reduced fuel consumption and pollution.
