The Executive Assistant to the President announced during a visit to the Center for Transformation and Advancement Cooperation of the Presidency that currency smuggling bottlenecks have been identified and serious actions are currently being taken in this regard. This official also pointed out the importance of management dashboards for monitoring the status of essential goods and stated that these dashboards can help identify smuggling.

Monitoring Essential Goods and Identifying Currency Issues

The Executive Assistant to the President further added: "We have witnessed a fundamental effort regarding management dashboards, where all essential items whose shortages can cause problems for people are monitored from the moment they enter the country until they leave the warehouses. This information helps us determine whether smuggling is taking place or not." He noted that the current situation regarding fuel and the amount of its smuggling is being well monitored.

Collaboration with Executive Agencies to Improve Processes

The Executive Assistant to the President also mentioned that, in collaboration with other executive agencies, currency-related bottlenecks have been identified. He added: "We have specified where we have currency issues, which agencies can facilitate, and in which agencies processes need to be reformed. Existing guidelines and laws have also been reviewed to resolve existing problems."

He announced the establishment of a national management board with the help of the Anti-Smuggling Headquarters, which is available for use by managers and decision-makers. The Executive Assistant to the President expressed hope that with these measures, they can achieve the free sale of oil and devise plans for fuel to gradually reach its real price, eliminating the smuggling of goods, currency, and fuel.
