Ayoub Cheraghi, the secretary of the Ilam Task Force for Combating Smuggling of Goods and Currency, announced on the sidelines of the seventh meeting of the Task Force for Prevention and Combat of Smuggling and Off-Network Distribution of Oil Products that with the implementation of control measures, the smuggling of nearly 9 million liters of fuel per month has been halted. These plans include the elimination of unconventional fuel licenses for urban fleets and closer monitoring of quota allocations.
Effective Measures in Fuel Distribution Control
Cheraghi emphasized the necessity of coordination among executive agencies, stating that the cooperation of responsible entities in the areas of supervision, law enforcement, judiciary, transportation, and distribution of oil products is essential to combat fuel smuggling. He also referred to the implementation of the 24-article guideline for combating fuel smuggling and called for the active participation of these agencies in its execution.

Identifying Violations and Preventing Fake Documents
The secretary of the Ilam Task Force for Combating Smuggling of Goods and Currency also mentioned the identification of 102 violations in the issuance of fake documents and stated that the related cases have been referred to judicial and supervisory authorities. According to him, efforts to prevent the misuse of transport documents and fuel quotas are ongoing, and this issue can limit the avenues for exploiting legal transportation capacities.
Installation of Fuel Monitoring Equipment on Tractors
Cheraghi also announced the implementation of a plan to install fuel monitoring equipment on agricultural tractors, stating: "This plan is being executed in collaboration with governors, managers of agricultural jihad in the counties, and the National Oil Products Distribution Company." Based on the planned schedule, it is expected that all tractors covered by this plan will be equipped with the fuel monitoring system before the end of the year.
Rewards for Discovering Fuel Smuggling
He also announced the issuance of a guideline for the immediate payment of rewards to relevant agencies for discoveries of fuel smuggling. This mechanism has been implemented based on the directive of the Central Headquarters for Combating Smuggling of Goods and Currency, and its aim is to support individuals involved in identifying and discovering fuel smuggling.
Cheraghi concluded by noting that the agenda for upcoming Task Force meetings will focus on combating fake documents and organized smuggling as key areas to be pursued with the aim of strengthening preventive and supervisory actions.
