Samad Nejadabrahimi, the Director General of the Office of Policy and Planning for Research Affairs at the Ministry of Science, announced the collaboration of several universities with the Ministry of Energy to provide scientific and practical solutions for addressing energy imbalance. He stated that the Ministry of Energy has defined 17 projects in this regard in collaboration with various universities.
The Role of Universities in Solving Energy Imbalance
Nejadabrahimi referred to the role of universities in addressing the issue of energy imbalance and said: "In the energy sector, including gasoline and other energy carriers, Shahid Beheshti University and Tarbiat Modares University are actively involved." One of the proposed solutions for reducing energy imbalance is the development of solar energy. According to him, if current activities continue at this pace in the coming year, a significant portion of the energy imbalance problem can be resolved.

Challenges and Requirements for Solar Energy Development
Nejadabrahimi further emphasized: "The development of solar energy is not limited to the production of panels and equipment, but it must be determined where and with what technologies these equipments will be installed." He also stressed the need to establish a mechanism for transferring the produced energy to the government and how to interact with producers, both private and public.
The Director General of the Office of Policy and Planning for Research Affairs at the Ministry of Science considered legal and economic issues to be very important in the development of renewable energies and said: "A significant part of the challenges in this area relates to energy laws and regulations. It must be clarified how the government will purchase energy if production exceeds the consumption or needs of a particular entity?"
Nejadabrahimi also emphasized the importance of designing an appropriate economic mechanism to attract investors in this field and added: "Solving energy imbalance is not possible with merely directive decisions, and the implementation of projects requires significant investment."
He emphasized that the evaluation of the achievements of these projects should be based on measurable indicators, and the Ministry of Energy should comment on the success of these actions. Nejadabrahimi concluded by saying: "The country is in a state of war, and despite the damage inflicted on the infrastructure, the current situation indicates the successes of the strong secretariat."
