Farhad Shahroki provided explanations regarding the gas imbalance in winter and its impact on the country's energy network. He pointed out that the accumulation of imbalance and the reduction of gas production and processing capacity due to damage to four South Pars refineries has put additional pressure on the country's energy network. Therefore, managing consumption to maintain network stability, especially in northern provinces, is crucial.
20 Degree Campaign and Savings Strategies
Shahroki, referring to the 20 Degree Campaign, stated that setting the ambient temperature between 18 to 21 degrees, using thick curtains, sealing windows, and blocking air conditioner vents are simple yet effective strategies for reducing energy waste. He emphasized that public participation in this area can help stabilize the gas network during cold days.

The Necessity of Economizing Energy Consumption Optimization
The Vice Chairman of the Energy Commission of the Parliament emphasized the necessity of economizing energy consumption optimization, stating: "The development of energy service companies or contractors and the granting of savings certificates provide the groundwork for financing optimization projects and replacing outdated heaters with high-efficiency equipment." In this model, households benefit from efficient equipment without paying initial costs and also gain from reduced gas consumption and lower bills.
Shahroki also mentioned that maintaining comfort temperature and implementing simple savings strategies will help reduce imbalance and safely pass through winter. He deemed the implementation of Article 46 of the Seventh Development Plan (management and reduction of energy intensity) essential and stated that the Energy Commission of the Parliament is pursuing the implementation of legal obligations and the return of financial benefits from savings to subscribers.
Shahroki concluded by emphasizing the necessity of prioritizing gas consumption in industrial and agricultural sectors and developing backup fuels, stating: "Oversight of the readiness of responsible agencies to pass through winter will continue."
