The smart fuel card, as one of the tools for managing consumption and distributing oil products, plays an important role in the transparency of consumption levels and controlling quota withdrawals. In conditions where the use of fuel cards at stations in some provinces has been accompanied by restrictions, easy and timely access for vehicle owners to this card has become even more important.
National Instant Fuel Card Issuance Plan
Last winter, the national instant issuance plan for smart fuel cards was implemented with the aim of accelerating the issuance process, reducing operational costs, and increasing applicant satisfaction. According to this plan, it was intended that by electronicizing the application registration stages and providing the possibility of in-person card collection, the waiting time for applicants would be reduced compared to previous methods.

Applicants can register their requests online through the National Oil Products Distribution Company's website. After entering their information and uploading the required documents, applicants have the option to choose the method of receiving the card, either by postal delivery or in-person collection.
Problems in the Application Registration Process
However, some applicants have reported issues in executing this process. According to these individuals, despite completing the application registration stages, in some cases, the text message related to the continuation of the process or the time of card receipt is not sent. Additionally, delays in application registration and the non-display of certain operational areas in the system have also been raised as other issues.
These problems are not limited to new fuel card applications, and applicants for replacement cards are also facing difficulties. Although the possibility of registering for a replacement card online has been provided and the approximate time for receiving it is stated to be about 10 days, some citizens are complaining about the prolonged duration of this process.
The importance of this issue lies in the fact that the fuel card is considered the main tool for many drivers to access fuel quotas, and delays in its issuance or replacement can complicate the use of the quota.
The National Oil Products Distribution Company must continuously monitor the status of potential disruptions in the application registration system, the sending of notification text messages, and the process of delivering replacement cards to reduce the gap between the announced timeline and the actual time of card receipt.
Applicants who encounter questions or problems during the registration, receipt, or follow-up of the smart fuel card can contact the National Oil Products Distribution Company's response center.
