The President raised the sustainable energy supply for industries as a priority in Winter 2026 during a meeting on energy and fuel consumption management. This meeting, chaired by Masoud Pezeshkian and attended by senior government officials, was held to take necessary measures to pass through the upcoming winter without challenges.

Executive Programs for Energy Consumption Management

In this regard, the national energy consumption management program has entered the executive and operational phase. Activating management and executive capacities in provinces and establishing mechanisms for real-time monitoring of the performance of agencies is on the agenda to seriously implement energy-saving and optimization programs.

Masoud Pezeshkian, while appreciating the efforts of the executives, emphasized that with continued management and coordination among agencies, winter can be passed without restrictions on the gas supply for industries. He pointed out the requirements for consumption management in executive agencies and called for the establishment of a daily monitoring room for agency performance.

Collaboration with the Production Sector and Guilds

The President also referred to the mutual cooperation between the production sector and economic actors with the government, stating: "The energy supply for industries and producers must be prioritized, and industries should incorporate energy-saving measures into their agendas." He called for regular meetings with guilds and chambers of commerce to clarify the country's conditions.

Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of public and household participation, stating: "The role of people and social institutions in energy consumption management is very decisive, and the special conditions of the country must be clearly communicated to the public." He highlighted the significant potential of the household sector in reducing energy consumption and stressed the need for serious cooperation from the public in saving energy.

Finally, the President stated that energy consumption management is the most important indicator for evaluating the performance of managers in the country, asserting: "Managers must completely eliminate wastefulness and overconsumption from their agencies." He also emphasized the necessity of turning programs into executable and measurable actions and called for the establishment of a continuous monitoring mechanism for agency performance.
