Paolo Morti has been appointed as the new CEO of the RINA Group. This Italian group, which operates in the fields of classification and engineering, has turned to an experienced expert in the maritime industry to lead its business into a new phase of expansion.
Leadership Change and Morti's Background
Paolo Morti, who previously served as the General Manager and Head of Marine and Facilities Business at RINA, succeeds Carlo Lozzatto, who has been at the helm of the group since December 2023. The leadership changes follow a period of significant growth for this Italian group, with the group's revenues more than doubling over the past five years.

International Expansion Strategy
The growth strategy of the RINA Group has included targeted acquisitions to expand its engineering and technical capabilities. Among these acquisitions is the purchase of the Finnish company Foreship, specializing in marine architecture and marine engineering. The RINA Group aims to expand its marine services, certification, infrastructure, and engineering internationally.
Yugo Salerno, the group's CEO, remains in his position, and Giosuè Vezzuto will replace Morti as CEO of RINA Services, the group's classification and marine certification division. Vezzuto has overseen RINA Services' activities from 2020 to 2026 and has worked in the group's traditional marine operations center.
This leadership change reflects RINA's determination to continue growth and expansion in the global market, particularly in areas where it has sufficient history and experience. Given recent developments, the RINA Group is expected to achieve its long-term goals under its new leadership.
