NMDC Energy, an engineering and construction company in the marine sector based in the United Arab Emirates, has recently succeeded in obtaining three new projects from Saudi Aramco worth a total of $763.3 million (equivalent to 2.8 billion dirhams).
Project Details and Timeline
In a statement to the stock exchange, NMDC Energy said that the contract includes engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work and is expected to be completed within 18 to 23 months. Although NMDC Energy has not disclosed the names of the projects or their individual values, local reports refer to the connection of these contracts with the purchase orders and the issuance of Saudi Aramco contracts (CRPOs) 167, 169, and 171, which involve work in the Marjan and Zuluf offshore oil fields.

Contract Details and Scope of Work
The CRPO 167 contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of eight jackets in the Marjan field, while CRPO 169 includes three production wall modules in the same field. The third package, CRPO 171, includes three production wall modules in the Zuluf field. These three packages are part of a larger set of five marine tenders that Saudi Aramco has offered to contractors under its long-term agreements (LTA). The Italian contractor, Saipem, has received the remaining two packages.
These new awards strengthen NMDC Energy's long-term relationship with Saudi Aramco, which dates back to a long-term agreement signed in 2016. The two companies extended this agreement in April 2025 for another three years, with an option for an additional three years. This framework includes engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, and pre-commissioning of marine facilities in Saudi waters.
NMDC Energy has also expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia through a 400,000 square meter construction workshop in Ras Al Khair, which began production last year. This workshop has an annual capacity of 40,000 tons.
