Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, Deputy for Electricity and Energy at the Ministry of Energy, announced actions to achieve network stability and fuel management during the cold season in a joint meeting with Tavanir and electricity distribution companies.
Fuel Management in Cold Regions
The Deputy for Electricity and Energy at the Ministry of Energy referred to the limitations of fuel supply in the cold season and said: "Northern provinces and other areas facing gas shortages must impose stricter measures to preserve fuel reserves for power plants." He added: "Supplying and transferring liquid fuel to power plants in the cold season is significantly more difficult than supplying gas to residential and commercial networks."

He emphasized the necessity of cooperation from governors in adhering to quotas and precisely implementing consumption management programs, announcing that data related to provincial consumption will be monitored weekly in monitoring systems. Rajabi Mashhadi also requested that executive bodies and governors cooperate in the process of reducing electricity consumption.
Readiness of Power Transmission Lines
Rajabi Mashhadi stressed the need to enhance the readiness of the country's power transmission lines, especially the north-south lines, stating: "All lines that increase capacity and assist in fuel supply to the northern regions of the country must be fully prepared to compensate for any shortfall."
The Deputy for Electricity and Energy at the Ministry of Energy also called for an increase in the speed of distribution companies in organizing illegal connections through the installation of temporary meters. He concluded by emphasizing the electricity industry's readiness to provide sustainable electricity, stating that the power generation capacity is sufficiently prepared to produce electricity.
Rajabi Mashhadi also highlighted the importance of effective and unified communication, stating that the ultimate goal is a successful transition from the cold season with minimal stress for compatriots.
