Consequences of Military Movements
In this meeting, Iran pointed out the negative impacts of sanctions and military movements on the country's maritime and oil trade. Given that many of Iran's oil tankers and maritime fleet have been forced to change course due to these movements, the financial losses resulting from these changes have significantly affected the country's economy. Additionally, Iran emphasized that these movements could lead to increased tensions in the region and jeopardize maritime security.
In this regard, the Iranian delegation urged IMO member countries to pay more attention to these issues and to take effective measures to protect maritime infrastructure and prevent military aggressions. Iran also stressed the necessity of international cooperation to maintain maritime security in the region.
