Hojjatoleslam Mousa Ahmadi, representative of Kangan, Dir, Jam, and Assaluyeh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized the importance of organizing fuel consumption and announced the formation of a special working group within the Energy Commission to examine and develop expert solutions.

New plans for fuel consumption management

The head of the Energy Commission further stated that the Energy Commission is continuously holding meetings with the Ministry of Oil, the National Oil Refining and Distribution Company, and the Organization for the Optimization of Energy Consumption to examine and develop solutions to prevent fuel smuggling. He added: these plans include the phased implementation of the fuel organization plan, which has begun as a pilot in a number of fuel stations in the first phase.

Rumors and emphasis on avoiding sudden changes

Hojjatoleslam Ahmadi also reacted to rumors circulating on social media regarding the reduction of the 1500 Toman gasoline quota (from 60 liters to 30 liters) and sudden price changes of gasoline, stating: "We are not looking to create shock in society" and did not confirm unofficial news in this regard. He emphasized that the main policy in organizing fuel consumption is to use smart tools and create the possibility for accurate transaction recording and monitoring, so that while managing consumption, the ground for combating fuel smuggling is also provided.

According to the planned arrangements, starting next week, the use of bank cards for refueling will be made available at all fuel stations across the country. These changes are aimed at transitioning from station-specific cards to the use of personal fuel cards and bank cards.
