Colonel Seyyed Amin Mousavi, the police chief of Savojbolagh County, announced the discovery of a large shipment of smuggled fuel additives in this county. This shipment was discovered accidentally during the patrol of the officers at the Hiyu police station.
Details of the Shipment Discovery
Officers at the Hiyu police station, while patrolling their jurisdiction, became suspicious of a Nissan pickup truck and stopped it. After stopping the vehicle, experts, in coordination with the judicial authority, examined it. During the inspection of this vehicle, 4,218 units of various smuggled fuel additives were discovered and seized.
Arrest and Value of the Shipment
Colonel Mousavi also reported the arrest of one person in this case. The suspect was introduced to the judicial authorities along with the seized goods after a case was filed. The value of the seized goods is estimated by experts at 5 billion rials. The police chief of Savojbolagh County urged citizens to report any information regarding the storage and keeping of any smuggled goods to the police.
