General Adel Monir, the deputy commander of the police in Ardabil province, announced the discovery of 17 billion and 800 million rials worth of smuggled fuel in this province. This discovery is the result of a large-scale operational plan aimed at combating the smuggling of petroleum products, executed in collaboration with police officers and specialized forces over a period of four days.

In an interview with reporters, General Monir stated that during this operation, the economic security police in Ardabil province controlled 128 vehicles. As a result of these controls, 17,540 liters of smuggled diesel fuel were discovered, and two individuals were arrested in connection with this case. Additionally, five extra fuel tanks were removed, and one vehicle was confiscated.
