Alireza Zakani, at the closing of the meeting of the Board of Trustees and neighborhood managers of Tehran, referring to the holding of the fourth and final session with the Board of Trustees of Tehran neighborhoods, added: The Board of Trustees has a very high capacity for popularizing affairs. This capacity is at the base of the social pyramid and in neighborhoods that are the most effective point of connection between the people and urban management. Alongside the managers of the neighborhoods and the large families of the neighborhoods, a popular movement has emerged in the city of Tehran.
The experience of religious democracy in urban life
Zakani stated that the aim of establishing the structure of the neighborhood Board of Trustees was to return to the people and place them at the center of transformation, saying: Religious democracy is not limited to the presence of people at the ballot box, but must be experienced in every moment of urban life with the presence of the people and movement in accordance with their will and desires.

He continued: Placing the people themselves at the center of transformation was one of the serious demands that led to the formation of such a system and framework in the neighborhoods, and we are proud to be at your service today.
The status of chronic imbalances in the country
Zakani, referring to the five years since the beginning of his urban management period, said: During this period, we began a new path whose main goal was to create four transformations; one in the physical structure of the city, another in the spirit of the city which manifests in lifestyle, the third transformation in technology, and the fourth to create suitable conditions for a creative city. Actions have been taken in this path whose results can be presented.
The mayor of Tehran emphasized that the country is on the verge of new conditions, stating: Iran has never been in such a distinguished position to grapple with the greatest apparent global power, and that power feels weakness and instability, not us. If we are careless about these conditions, we will face serious harm, and if we are prepared, our preparedness can disrupt the enemy's calculations.
Zakani pointed to the structural problems of the country, stating: We have faced a set of imbalances from the past that are considered old wounds of the country; imbalances in the fields of energy, water, monetary and banking systems, budget, and pension funds. These imbalances have always put the body of the country's management at risk.
The need for a war arrangement and new resources
Zakani, referring to the effects of economic and social problems, said: This situation can also be observed in the fields of culture, management, and other areas. One of the problems is that the country is in a state of war, but a war arrangement suitable for these conditions has not been formed in all areas.
He added: Today, part of the country's income is provided from oil sales, but the war conditions and changes in the status of oil transfer and sales have created new conditions. The government needs rial and foreign currency resources to continue its activities.
In conclusion, Zakani emphasized the necessity of cohesion in the country, stating: Today, one principle must govern all our conditions and activities, and that is cohesion; both at the level of officials and at the level of the people. Urban management also considers itself obligated to assist the government, the parliament, and the judiciary.
