This charity has announced that additional costs for transportation, fuel, food, and medical supplies have significantly increased, and for this reason, they are now forced to spend more to help fewer children. In other words, every additional dollar spent means a reduction in the number of children who can benefit from this aid.
The impacts of this oil shock are such that the additional costs are equivalent to the expenses of 47 health clinics in Afghanistan for six months. This means that the financial and human resources allocated for saving the lives of needy children are currently under severe economic pressure.
