The energy industry of Iran has managed to maintain stability in fuel and electricity supply despite the enemy's economic pressures. This resilience clearly shows that the enemy's plan to create a crisis in the country has failed.

Sanctions and Their Impact on the Energy Industry

After failing in its military objectives, including attempts to weaken the country's defense and nuclear capabilities and harm its territorial integrity, the enemy shifted its strategy to economic pressures. The main focus of this economic war is energy, which targeted several refineries, petrochemicals, and thousands of points in the country's electricity network during the 40-day war. Despite this, the assessment of the situation shows that the enemy's plan to create a crisis in the country has failed. Unlike some countries that faced fuel crises and long queues, we did not experience any increase in gasoline prices or disruptions in fuel distribution in Iran.

Achievements and Challenges in the Energy Industry

In the electricity sector, despite the impacts on the network, there were no blackouts caused by the war, and the electricity network only faced blackouts due to the usual imbalances of previous years. This stability is thanks to the efforts of the executive forces and supervisors who prevented a crisis through jihadist management. This resilience is rooted in two fundamental factors: first, the knowledge and expertise of the country's technical-engineering workforce, and second, self-sufficiency in providing the necessary equipment for refineries and power plants. Self-sufficiency does not mean isolation and severing ties with global knowledge, and technology exchange continues, but our country has reached a level of independence where it can repair, rebuild, and upgrade its equipment.

During the 40-day war, four gas refineries in the country were attacked, and 25% of the country's gas production was affected. Currently, half of this damaged capacity has returned to operation, and the rest is in the process of being restored. Finally, it should be noted that the gas imbalance in the country is an issue that has existed independently of wartime conditions during the winter season and has created challenges in electricity supply due to the dependence of thermal power plants on gas fuel. Now this imbalance has been exacerbated by the enemy's actions.

Officials and technical experts are working around the clock. Our dear compatriots are also requested to help by managing consumption and optimizing usage so that we can overcome the challenges anticipated in the upcoming winter. The enemy is counting on the gas imbalance in the coming winter, but I am confident that with the determination of officials and the cooperation of the people, this front will also become another arena of defeat for the enemies of the Iranian nation.
