Contract Details
These contracts have a duration of 250 days, which will be executed consecutively, with operations starting in December 2026. Additionally, these agreements include options for 75 days of extra work. Features of the Normand Australis Vessel
The Normand Australis vessel, built in 2009, is 82 meters long and equipped with features including a class 2 dynamic positioning system, an active crane with a capacity of 70 tons, and equipment for two work-class underwater robots. This vessel has 775 square meters of deck space, a fish hold, and accommodation facilities for up to 118 people.
The new contracts expand the employment of this vessel in the Asia-Pacific and demonstrate a background of supporting renewable energy projects in the region. In January 2025, Solstad signed a 200-day contract with an option for an additional 90 days for this vessel to work on a renewable energy development project in Taiwan.
Recent Developments in Regional Contracts
The new contracts have been announced following a new round of regional contract awards. In September, Solstad secured 475 days of work for the anchor handling vessels, Normand Scorpion and Normand Saracen. These contracts are also in the Asia-Pacific region and are set to commence in the second and third quarters of 2027.
Overall, these contracts reflect Solstad Maritime's commitment to expanding its activities in renewable energy and underwater operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
