Seyed Mahdi Mohiayi pointed out the necessity of the readiness of executive agencies to face gas imbalance during a meeting of the Energy Management Working Group of Golestan Province on Saturday evening. He stated that the country's energy conditions require prior planning for the cold days of the year, and responsible agencies must have the necessary preparedness for managing consumption and ensuring fuel supply by developing various scenarios.

The Necessity of Energy Crisis Management

Mohiayi emphasized that energy crisis management should not be postponed until the time of restrictions, adding: "The amount of needs for industries, production units, the agricultural sector, greenhouses, poultry farms, and bakeries must be precisely determined so that the supply of alternative fuel for these sectors can be planned in advance."

Utilizing New Gas Supply Capacities

The Deputy for Coordination of Urban Affairs of Golestan Province considered one of the important aspects of managing energy imbalance to be the utilization of new gas supply capacities. In this regard, he referred to negotiations with Turkmenistan for gas supply, leveraging the capabilities of private sector investors, and pursuing necessary solutions through national agencies, describing these actions as steps to mitigate the impacts of energy restrictions in the province.

Mohiayi also stated that consumption management complements energy supply and called for public participation in changing consumption patterns. He noted the role of executive agencies and media in this regard, stating: "Continuous cultural promotion and information dissemination by the media can create the groundwork for public cooperation in reducing energy consumption, and changing consumption patterns should become a public demand."

The Necessity of Coordination and Preparedness

He emphasized the necessity of coordination among responsible agencies, noting: "For various conditions, including reduced gas pressure or restrictions in the network, decisions and executable solutions must be made in advance so that in case of problems, public services and production units can continue with minimal damage."

Mohiayi listed maintaining the sustainability of public services, supporting the production cycle, and reducing public concerns during the winter season as priorities for provincial management, emphasizing: "Successfully navigating potential energy imbalance conditions requires timely preparedness, cooperation among agencies, and accountability from all sectors."
