Seyed Ismail Hosseini, the representative of Shiraz and Zarqan in the Parliament, announced the country's electricity production capacity to be nearly 100,000 megawatts and stated: The energy sector in oil, gas, and electricity is considered one of the country's strengths. However, he pointed out the existing challenges in this sector and emphasized the necessity of optimizing energy consumption.
Challenges of Energy Consumption and Transmission
Hosseini further stated that necessary optimizations have not been made in the energy consumption sector, and more actions are needed in the transmission and distribution area to reduce losses. He emphasized that reforming the culture of energy consumption could play an important role in reducing pressure on the energy network.

Readiness for Winter Season
Hosseini, referring to the conditions of the autumn season, said that during this season, electricity and gas consumption is not at its peak, and therefore there are no serious problems in energy supply. He also mentioned the possibility of increased gas consumption in the winter season and added that a significant portion of the country's electricity production capacity is related to thermal power plants.
He explained that with the increase in gas consumption in the residential and commercial sectors, the delivery of gas to some power plants may decrease, and the power plants will use liquid fuels such as diesel and fuel oil to compensate for this reduction. Hosseini stated that the reserves in the reservoirs are at a desirable level and it is expected that the upcoming winter will pass with minimal problems.
Cooperation of the People and Executive Agencies
Hosseini also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Oil and said: The amount of gas, diesel, fuel oil, and gasoline production is specified, and these resources should be distributed among different sectors. He emphasized the importance of cooperation among responsible entities in the energy sector and stated that overcoming the challenge of energy imbalance requires consensus among various governmental agencies and cooperation from the people.
The representative of Shiraz and Zarqan, referring to the people's cooperation in wartime conditions, called for optimal energy consumption in the upcoming winter and reiterated that the country's production capacities and fuel reserves can provide a low-challenge passage through the cold season.
