Semnan Province has been mandated to reduce energy consumption by 25% compared to last year in order to manage energy consumption and reduce imbalance in the energy carriers sector. Farajollah Iliat, the Deputy for Urban Development of Semnan Province, emphasized that this requires the cooperation of all entities, including governmental, non-governmental, service, and private sectors.

The Necessity of Energy Consumption Management

Iliat, in an interview with reporters, emphasized the importance of energy consumption management in Semnan Province and stated that achieving the goal of a 25% reduction in energy consumption requires the active participation of all institutions and organizations. He pointed out that this cooperation can help overcome the energy imbalance conditions.

Cultural Development for Consumption Management

The Deputy for Urban Development of Semnan Province stated that energy consumption management should not be limited to a temporary approach and said, "Consumption management should become a long-term culture in society, and in this path, reforming consumption patterns is essential." He also referred to the role of municipalities in this regard and mentioned that these entities, due to their responsibility in managing streets and parks, can significantly contribute to reducing energy consumption.

He requested all municipalities and rural districts in the province to cooperate and collaborate in this regard to achieve the common goal of reducing energy consumption. Iliat also announced the drafting of plans related to energy savings and consumption management in Semnan Province, adding that these plans are being developed with the aim of managing consumption, reducing energy imbalance, and simultaneously supporting production.
