Saipem, the Italian underwater engineering contractor, has signed a new contract worth approximately $350 million in Angola. This contract includes the design, construction, transportation, and installation of underwater infrastructure, which consists of about 62 kilometers of flowlines, vertical pipes, and communication cables.
Technical Details of the Project
This infrastructure will be connected to the Agogo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) system, and the project duration is expected to be approximately two and a half years. Construction activities will take place at Saipem's Ambriz workshop in Angola, and the company is also focused on collaborating with local companies and workforce.
Equipment and Fleet Used
For the execution of this project, Saipem intends to use the construction vessels FDS and Normand Maximus. This equipment will be utilized for marine activities and will enhance Saipem's operational capabilities in large marine projects.
