The High Supervisory Board for the Implementation of General Policies of the System held a dedicated meeting to review the performance of the responsible agencies in implementing the general energy policies. This meeting included a detailed analysis and evaluation of the process of implementing energy policies in the country and identified the existing challenges and opportunities in this area.

Analysis of Strengths and Weaknesses

The performance evaluation report of the agencies helps clarify the current status of energy policy implementation. In this regard, the High Supervisory Board examined the performance of the Ministry of Oil, the Ministry of Energy, and the Program and Budget Organization, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each of these entities. This evaluation is particularly important in terms of achieving the goals set in the country’s macro energy programs.

Challenges and Opportunities in Energy Policies

The existing challenges in implementing energy policies include economic issues, sanctions, and international restrictions that have impacted the implementation of macro programs. In this meeting, the High Supervisory Board identified these challenges and also examined existing solutions to improve the current situation. On the other hand, new opportunities in the field of renewable energy and optimal use of existing resources have also been highlighted as strengths.

Given the increasing importance of energy in sustainable development and its impacts on the national economy, this report could serve as a basis for strategic decision-making in the future. The High Supervisory Board for the Implementation of General Policies of the System will periodically provide similar reports to enable more effective oversight of policy implementation.
