Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, in the commemoration of National Export Day, emphasized the necessity of supporting the country's producers and exporters, stating that the government is working to remove legal and executive barriers, facilitate economic activities, and expand Iran's trade routes.

Standing Firm Against Pressures

Pezeshkian, while congratulating economic activists on National Export Day, regarded the resilience and efforts of the people and exporters as significant factors for the country's stability, stating: These efforts and struggles have allowed Iran to continue its path despite pressures and challenges. He pointed out the government's actions to alleviate the problems faced by economic activists, saying: The government has initially sought to eliminate the barriers facing exporters by delegating powers to regional managers and governors, as well as reducing cumbersome laws and regulations.

Efforts to Develop Trade

Pezeshkian referred to the numerous problems in the country and added: The United States did not expect Iran to withstand attacks and sanctions, but the Iranian nation stood firm and will continue on its path. He stated that Iran does not seek war, but will not submit to bullying and the imposition of others' will. He also considered exiting the state of 'neither war nor peace' as one of the country's priorities and emphasized the necessity of pursuing the rights of the Iranian people through logic and dialogue.

The President, highlighting the necessity of supporting entrepreneurs and exporters, asserted: The government stands alongside economic activists and seeks to pave the way for the development of trade and the resolution of their problems. He added: Removing barriers to production and exports is a shared concern of the country's officials, and the government is ready to examine the problems of economic activists and take action to resolve them in cooperation with the Parliament, the Judiciary, the Central Bank, and other relevant agencies.

Trade Restrictions and Efforts to Expand Routes

Pezeshkian also pointed out the restrictions imposed on the country's trade routes, stating: Given the significant share of maritime routes in Iran's trade, the limitations in this sector have created problems; therefore, the government is striving to develop alternative routes to ensure the continuity and expansion of foreign trade. However, utilizing these routes may impose additional costs on the country's trade.

He mentioned the expansion of cooperation with member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the BRICS group, and the Eurasian Economic Union as part of the country's plans to develop economic relations and emphasized the continuation of consultations to utilize the capacities of these groups. Pezeshkian, referring to negotiations and agreements made with the United States, stressed the necessity of respecting commitments and stated: The other side must recognize the rights of the Iranian people and refrain from threats, bullying, and aggression to create a conducive environment for dialogue.

He noted that one cannot simultaneously block communication routes and speak of negotiation, emphasizing: Adherence to treaties and agreements should be the principle of relations between countries, and agreements should not be violated after being signed.

The President also highlighted the necessity of maintaining national cohesion, cooperation between the people and officials, and strengthening the country's capacity to overcome difficult conditions in light of external pressures and threats against the country's resources. Pezeshkian, in another part of his speech, considered the continuity of industrial activities and preventing the halt of the production cycle as government priorities and stated: The government is working to ensure that electricity and gas needed for the industry and production are not cut off.

He added: In areas that require reform, necessary actions will be taken, and if necessary, restrictions will be imposed; however, the main goal is to ensure that industrial activities and the production process in the country do not come to a halt. The President concluded by stating that maintaining national solidarity and public participation is essential for overcoming challenges, emphasizing that no individual or entity can solve all the country's issues alone, and Iran's progress requires the cooperation and collaboration of the people and officials.

At the end of this ceremony, 13 top exporters of the country were honored with plaques and trophies.
