PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) has been selected as the EPIC project contractor after receiving a letter from QatarEnergy. This project pertains to the rehabilitation of the Mai Dan Mohzam oil field.
Contract Details with QatarEnergy
The contract has been awarded to PTSC Marine Mechanical Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTSC. This contract includes design, supply, construction, transportation, offshore installation, connection, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of the Mai Dan Mohzam field.

Currently, the parties are finalizing the contract value and its execution schedule. According to forecasts, the official contract will be signed in October 2026. Although the contract value has not been officially announced, Vietnamese news sources estimate it to be around 3 billion dollars.
Background of the Mai Dan Mohzam Field
The Mai Dan Mohzam oil field is an offshore oil field managed by QatarEnergy, located approximately 110 kilometers northeast of Qatar and 16 kilometers southeast of Halul Island. The field was discovered in 1963, and production began in November 1965.
QatarEnergy has been working on the Mai Dan Mohzam rehabilitation program since 2010, aimed at extending the operational life of the field and recovering remaining reserves from decades-old infrastructure. This program includes drilling 45 new wells, developing reservoirs A, B, C, and D, utilizing and modifying existing jackets in the wells, constructing at least one new jacket, major upgrades to existing production facilities, as well as creating and updating pipelines and other offshore infrastructure.
