OEG Marine Services has recently ordered three crew transfer vessels (CTV) from Diverse Marine, based on the Isle of Wight. This order is part of the company's expansion and modernization plan for its renewable energy fleet and is intended to support offshore wind projects on the east coast of England.
Order Details
These vessels will be built based on the Brevity SL design by Chartwell Marine and are expected to be delivered throughout 2027. Each vessel is designed to be 26 meters long with a load line length of less than 24 meters and will be constructed at Diverse Marine's Cowes facility.

Technical Specifications and Features of the Vessels
The first vessel from this order will be equipped with a quad Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system that complies with IMO Tier III greenhouse gas emission standards. Additionally, this vessel will be fitted with Hull Vane fins aimed at improving fuel efficiency at cruising speeds. All new vessels will share a common specification and will operate under the British flag.
These vessels will operate alongside existing OEG vessels, also designed by Chartwell, named Fulmar and Furioso. The new order marks OEG's second collaboration with Diverse Marine, following the delivery of the Fulmar vessel in 2025, which has since supported construction projects at the Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland.
Implications of the Collaboration
Life Cooper, OEG's manager, stated that the Chartwell design has performed better than expected. This has led OEG to turn to Diverse Marine again for additional vessel orders. This collaboration not only aids in the modernization of OEG's fleet but will also strengthen renewable energy projects in the UK.
Given the growing demand for renewable energy and the increase in offshore wind projects, such collaborations can play a significant role in the future of the maritime and energy industry in the UK. It seems that OEG, with this action, has taken significant steps towards sustainable development and carbon reduction.
