Recently, HELMS has initiated a new collaboration with ENTS in Indonesia and East Timor to expand its activities in geotechnical and marine services. This collaboration aims to combine HELMS's geotechnical expertise with ENTS's marine capabilities, particularly in local resources and logistical support.
Collaboration Details
This collaboration includes a range of services such as marine geotechnical drilling, soil and rock sampling, seabed testing, and laboratory tests. Additionally, engineering reports for these projects will be supported by the preparation and relocation of vessels. These activities are designed to enhance local capacities and strengthen technical knowledge in these regions.
Establishment of Local Entity and Strategic Resources
As part of this collaboration, plans are underway to establish a local HELMS entity to take ownership of strategic drilling resources. This entity will use DP2 vessels flagged in Indonesia and, by employing local personnel, will develop a local laboratory and provide technical training and knowledge sharing to strengthen local expertise.
This memorandum was signed by Dato Ir. Helmi Zulkawi, CEO of HELMS, and Kurniawati Adiji, Director of ENTS. This collaboration is significant not only for strengthening economic and technical ties in these regions but also for enhancing the standards of geotechnical and marine services in Indonesia and East Timor.
