A consortium consisting of TotalEnergies, PTTEP HKO, KUFPEC, and PCSB has been formed to develop the B14 and Lang Lebah natural gas fields in Malaysia. This consortium aims to optimize development costs and create operational synergies in these two fields.
Details of the Gas Fields
The B14 gas field is located 14 kilometers from the Lang Lebah natural gas field, and according to PTTEP information, the simultaneous development of these two fields could significantly enhance the project value. It is estimated that the natural gas resources of these two fields exceed 6.5 trillion cubic feet.
Role of TotalEnergies and Other Partners
In this consortium, TotalEnergies acts as the operator with a 30% share, PTTEP HKO and KUFPEC each hold 25%, and PCSB holds a 20% share. This collaboration is aimed at maximizing the potential for natural gas field development and optimizing operational costs.
The development of these fields is in the pre-development stage, and it is expected that upon completion of this project, new opportunities for long-term growth in natural gas resources will be created. This initiative is also aligned with PTTEP's portfolio management strategy and will help strengthen the company's position in the market.
