McDermott has received an order valued between 10 to 20 million euros for four gas jumpers from Strohm. These jumpers are designed for installation in a deep-water field in Southeast Asia and will help enhance energy production capabilities in the region.

Project Details

The gas jumpers, which will be supplied and installed by McDermott's subsea and floating facilities, will be executed on behalf of a major international operator. These four jumpers, with an internal diameter of 6.9 inches and an average length of 1,000 meters, will be installed at water depths greater than 2,200 meters. According to Strohm, this contract falls under the medium contract category.

Implications of the Collaboration

Fabien Ellington, Vice President of Strohm for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, stated: "This contract strengthens our presence in Southeast Asia and positions us to support the next phase of deep-water energy development in this growing market." He also mentioned the long-term collaboration with McDermott and emphasized the importance of this company's installation experiences in global offshore development projects.

This project will not only contribute to the development of energy infrastructure in Southeast Asia but also represents an effective collaboration between two leading companies in the energy industry. Given the high water depths and challenges associated with installing subsea equipment, such projects require advanced technologies and sufficient experience in installation and commissioning.

Strohm's Role in the Energy Market

Strohm is recognized as a leading manufacturer of Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP) and continues to supply the necessary equipment for deep-water projects globally. These types of pipes are used in various industries due to their lightweight and high resistance, helping to reduce costs and construction time for projects.

Overall, this new collaboration between McDermott and Strohm could lead to sustainable development and improved energy conditions in the Southeast Asia region and serve as a model for future projects in this field.
