Planning for the Next Generation
The leadership transition reflects the deliberate evolution of Caddell's leadership structure following years of investment in the business and long-term planning designed to sustain Caddell's growth and preserve the workforce and operational principles that have defined this company for generations.
Khalil, after 36 years as President, emphasized the importance of retaining experience while creating space for the next generation of leadership. He added, "Proper succession planning preserves this experience while setting the stage for the advancement of the next generation of leadership. Salvatore has a strong understanding of our operations, customers, and industry direction, and I trust his ability to lead Caddell as President."
Khalil will continue to be actively involved in Caddell's strategic direction, business development, customer and industry partner relations, long-term planning, and corporate initiatives as CEO. Molino will take on the responsibility of daily executive leadership of Caddell, overseeing operations and organizational performance.
In this regard, Molino said, "It is an incredible privilege to take on the leadership of a company that has been part of the maritime community in the Port of New York for generations. Our task now is to build upon that foundation and continue investing in our workforce, infrastructure, and capabilities. We intend to grow, but we will do so without losing the skills, accountability, and commitments that have shaped Caddell's reputation."
