Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, addressed the status of the Iran-Pakistan borders and the import and export situation between the two countries. He stated that currently there are no restrictions from Iran on the export of Iranian goods to Pakistan, including liquefied gas (LPG), and that Iran's borders are open with all neighboring countries.
Challenges in Border Trade
Amiri Moghaddam, referring to the illegal maritime blockade by the United States against Iran, added: "Closing borders to close neighbors, especially the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan, is neither logical nor in the interest of either party." However, he pointed to changes in the implementation of Pakistan's electronic form for imports from Iran, stating that these changes have made it practically impossible for traders to send shipments from Iran to Pakistan. He also mentioned that consultations with the Pakistani side to resolve this issue are ongoing.

Impact on Bilateral Trade Flow
The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan further reported on "the passage of several hundred trucks carrying liquefied gas from the Rimdan border to Gabd on the Pakistani side." He emphasized that although these trucks have been there for several weeks, they have not yet been unloaded or cleared, complicating the movement of goods and the smooth flow of bilateral trade. Amiri Moghaddam stressed that border trade between Iran and Pakistan is an integral part of the bilateral agreements reached at the highest levels.
He also noted: "This trade serves the mutual interests of both countries and their peoples. Iran has made every possible effort and has not spared any effort to facilitate and promote this bilateral trade."
Amiri Moghaddam concluded by emphasizing that Iran is committed to continuing these efforts in close coordination with its Pakistani counterparts to overcome existing challenges and strengthen the movement of goods and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
