The Free Fuel Card Transaction Identification Plan has been implemented to combat fuel smuggling and better manage fuel distribution in the country since about a month ago. This plan specifically focuses on identifying and monitoring transactions related to free cards at fuel stations, with the main goal of preventing off-network fuel distribution and reducing fuel smuggling.
Details of the Plan and Its Implementation
According to this plan, transactions related to free cards at fuel stations are registered with identifiers. Before the implementation of this plan, there was no accurate information about individuals using free cards and the amount of fuel they received. With the implementation of this plan, it has become possible to accurately identify and monitor these transactions, making it easy to see who is using free cards and how much fuel they are receiving.

Consequences and Existing Challenges
Although the implementation of this plan is considered a positive step towards preventing fuel smuggling, in the early days of its implementation, people faced delays and long queues at fuel stations. These delays were due to infrastructure problems and the public's unfamiliarity with how to use this new system. However, officials have announced that some of the infrastructure issues have been resolved and the remaining problems will gradually be addressed.
Officials from the Ministry of Oil and other related organizations have promised the public that long queues will gradually decrease and the refueling process with free cards will improve. Meanwhile, the current situation is such that many people are looking for quicker solutions to obtain fuel, and dissatisfaction in this regard continues.
Ultimately, this plan is designed with the main goal of preventing fuel smuggling and enhancing transparency in fuel distribution in the country, and it is hoped that in the near future, with the resolution of infrastructure issues and improvement of the process, more positive feedback will be observed.
