Ali-Asghar Tahmasbi emphasized the necessity of preserving employment and preventing the dismissal of workers on the pretext of energy imbalance during the Golestan province employment working group meeting. He referred to the planning for the winter season and stated that meetings related to energy imbalance are held weekly in Tehran and the province during summer and winter.

Providing alternative fuel for bakeries and industries

Tahmasbi pointed out the situation of bakeries in the province, emphasizing that about 800 bakeries in Golestan are monitored and verified under the supervision of the economic deputy and the county governors. He also asked the governors to personally oversee the provision of alternative fuel for bakeries and instructed the oil distribution company to supply the necessary fuel for industrial and agricultural units.

The governor of Golestan referred to the status of the combined cycle power plant in Aliabad and stated that this power plant has so far had over 50 million liters of oil products at its disposal. Tahmasbi emphasized the necessity of strengthening the resources and employment capacities of the province, stating that the 350 million tomans in loans for job creation is insufficient and should be at least doubled.

Preserving production units and existing employment

Tahmasbi also reminded the necessity of preserving production units and existing employment in the second half of the year, asserting that no production unit should be closed and no worker should become unemployed. He emphasized that owners of production units facing energy imbalance issues should be supported in the relevant working groups.

He stated that the first option in the event of an imbalance should not be cutting off energy to industries, adding: if the wheels of industries do not turn and production is halted, society will also come to a standstill, and this issue is directly related to employment, livelihood, and the lives of people.

The governor of Golestan, referring to the one percent share of executive agencies in the province's gas consumption, said that in times of trouble, the first solution should not be the closure of offices. He emphasized the necessity of providing necessary services to the private sector and stated: the agricultural and tourism capacities should be utilized to create employment and boost the province's economy.

Tahmasbi concluded by emphasizing the necessity of continuous monitoring of the market and services, adding: we must monitor the market and services around the clock so that people do not suffer from potential gaps. He also asked the banks in the province to increase their communication with the headquarters and emphasized that provincial managers should be sensitive to the issuance and continuation of permits.
