GLO Marine has announced that its goal is to achieve revenue exceeding €50 million by 2030. The company is preparing to establish a permanent operation in the Middle East and launch its new technology center worth €6 million in Romania.

Expansion in the Middle East

These two investments are at the center of a broader growth plan that includes expanding the company from marine and offshore engineering to larger integrated projects, merging technology, and a wider international delivery network. One of the founders of GLO Marine will lead the Middle East business and will relocate to the region to set up operations. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been selected as initial focal points.

Romania will remain the engineering and project delivery base for the company, with the Middle East, West Africa, and the North Sea identified as key markets for international expansion. He stated, "We are moving towards the next scale of GLO Marine. The €50 million target is ambitious, but the important thing is how we intend to achieve it: stronger capabilities in engineering and project delivery in Romania, a permanent operation in the Middle East, and the ability to take on larger and more integrated projects."

€6 Million Technology Center in Romania

The €6 million technology center in Galați will add new capabilities in production, electrical assembly, system integration, and testing to the existing GLO engineering organization. This facility will support marine, offshore, and energy projects with prefabricated processes, modular packages, and pre-integrated technical systems.

Equipment and systems will be engineered, assembled, and tested in Romania before being transferred to vessels and project sites. This will help resolve technical interfaces earlier and reduce the work required on deck, especially during tight docking times. The center will also contribute to the production of energy infrastructure in Romania, including the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

GLO also intends to use this center to support the development of energy infrastructure in Romania and collaborate with equipment manufacturers and project developers to add structural, mechanical, electrical, and control expertise to the assembly and testing of modular energy packages.

GLO's strategy includes increasing its capacity to deliver broader contracts encompassing the full scope of EPCI: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning. Despite operations in the Middle East, GLO will continue to develop its position in West Africa, the UK, and the North Sea.

This investment will be accompanied by the ongoing development of GLO's engineering and project management teams in Romania. With the launch of the Middle East business and the technology center as the first major steps in the 2030 plan, the company is already implementing its strategy.
