Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, on the second day of his provincial trip to Zanjan and at the inauguration ceremony of the Noorain Process Steel Plant, stressed the necessity of strengthening production as an effective response to economic warfare. He pointed out the existing challenges in the economic arena and highlighted the importance of maintaining industrial operations under difficult conditions.
Emphasis on Commitment to Production and National Economy
Ghaempanah stated: "One of the important dimensions of the hybrid war that the country is facing is economic warfare, and an effective response to this war is to strengthen production and maintain the activities of industrial units." He further referenced his conversation with the manager of this industrial unit and praised the commitment of this organization to Iran and the continuation of industrial activities under challenging conditions.
The Executive Vice President emphasized that love for the homeland holds deep meaning for Iranian industrialists and workers, and their resilience in tough conditions reflects their responsibility towards the country. He also expressed his appreciation for investors and entrepreneurs, stating: "The role of economic activists and producers in maintaining the independence and authority of the country must be acknowledged."
Sustainable Energy Supply for Industries
Ghaempanah continued his remarks by highlighting the importance of sustainable energy supply for industries, saying: "One of the government's priorities is to prevent power and gas cuts for production units." He noted that despite existing energy imbalances, the government is striving to minimize restrictions through management and planning to ensure that the production cycle does not halt.
The Executive Vice President also stressed the necessity of training skilled human resources, stating: "Industrial development is not possible without technicians and specialized personnel." He urged the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare to seriously pursue proposals related to technician training.
Inauguration of an Industrial Unit with a Capacity of 200,000 Tons
At the end of the ceremony, the Noorain Process Steel Plant in Zanjan was inaugurated. This unit was established with the aim of producing simple carbon and low-alloy steel billets through the melting process, with an announced annual production capacity of 200,000 tons. The products of this organization are used in downstream industries, including automotive and construction.
For the implementation of this project, 8 trillion rials and 25 million dollars in foreign investment have been made, and this unit has entered the operational phase with 100 percent physical progress. With the commencement of this organization's activities, direct employment for 240 individuals and indirect employment for about 1,000 people has been created.
