General Pasdar Seyyed Yahya Safavi commemorated the martyrs of the Sacred Defense during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Oil and discussed the achievements of the fighters during the eight years of the Sacred Defense. He emphasized that the fighters created enduring epic tales with minimal resources.
The Importance of Energy Geopolitics and Iran's Role
General Safavi referred to the importance of energy geopolitics and the Strait of Hormuz in Iran's victories in recent wars, stating: "Iran is the most important country in the West Asia region and holds a very significant geopolitical position in the region and the world." He continued: "The enemy tried to instigate a war against Iran by provoking the Zionists and the wicked Netanyahu... but they were unsuccessful in this war and could not achieve their goals." He recalled the sacrifices of the staff at the oil refining and distribution companies, stating that these employees played a significant role in maintaining the flow of gasoline and oil products.
Energy Management and Export Challenges
General Safavi pointed to the importance of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait in global geography and added: "Control of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait by Ansar Allah will be another step in the larger defeat of America in the region." He also emphasized that intelligent management of the Strait of Hormuz is a winning lever for breaking the U.S. maritime blockade.
Safavi referred to the existing problems in the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and said: "Today, only between five to eight ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and all Gulf countries are facing difficulties in production and export." He also highlighted the important role of the refining and distribution company in national resilience and securing people's livelihoods.
In conclusion, General Safavi emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz has become a weapon more dangerous than nuclear weapons, and the Iranian armed forces are ready to resist any threats. He urged the Ministry of Oil to continue oil sales under any circumstances and stressed the importance of cooperation with regional countries to ensure lasting peace.
Referring to the military and economic outputs of the U.S. from the region, he said: "The Americans are leaving and cannot remain in the region. They spent hundreds of billions of dollars but failed in their expenditures, and Iran will shape the security arrangements and future security of the region."
