The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) has prioritized the development of small-scale power plants and energy storage systems to improve energy efficiency and optimize the use of renewable resources. The director general of the Planning, Budget, and Regulation Office of this organization announced that aggregating green electricity entities and micro-financing will play a significant role in this process.
Development Trend of Small-Scale Power Plants
Small-scale power plants are recognized as one of the effective solutions for electricity generation using renewable resources. These plants can produce energy at a local scale and connect to the national electricity grid. The development of these plants can help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and increase the share of renewable energy in the country's energy mix.

The Role of Energy Storage Systems
Energy storage systems are also of special importance. These systems can store energy produced during peak consumption times and supply it to the electricity grid when needed. This enables optimal load management and reduces fluctuations in the electricity grid. This action is especially critical in conditions where electricity generation from renewable sources such as solar and wind is affected by weather factors.
The director general of the Planning, Budget, and Regulation Office of SATBA referred to the review and evaluation of projects related to the development of small-scale power plants and energy storage systems and added: "The development of these projects not only helps improve energy efficiency but can also lead to job creation and economic growth in various regions of the country."
These actions, alongside other macro policies of the Renewable Energy Organization, are aimed at reducing pollution and improving environmental quality. Therefore, the cooperation and participation of all stakeholders, including the private and public sectors, is essential in this regard.
