Dr. Afshar Baziyar, CEO of Shastan Group, announced the completion of the gas transfer line (Bypass) between the South Pars refineries and Bushehr Petrochemical, which has recently become operational. This project has the capacity to inject 10 million cubic meters of gas into the national network daily.

Actions in the Context of Economic Warfare

Dr. Baziyar stated that, given the intensification of gas imbalance due to attacks on refineries and facilities related to the South Pars gas fields, Shastan Group mobilized all its capacity and resources from the very first days to reduce the imbalance. This action was particularly essential in the context of economic warfare and was carried out to help secure the country's energy supply.

Project Details and Achievements

The CEO of Shastan Commercial Investment Group emphasized that Bushehr Petrochemical, as one of Shastan's subsidiaries, has seriously prioritized the construction of a communication line between the third and fourth refineries and the Bushehr Petrochemical refinery with the support of this group and effective interaction with all stakeholders. All necessary equipment for this project was supplied, and the construction operations were entirely carried out by the domestic specialists of Bushehr Petrochemical within a period of 3 months.

With the completion of this strategic project, approximately 10 million cubic meters of gas is directed into the sweetening unit of Bushehr Petrochemical daily, part of which returns to the third refinery after sweetening, while another part enters the ethane recovery unit. This gas, after the separation of its carbons, is allocated for use by petrochemical companies or other applications.

Dr. Baziyar also pointed out other achievements of this project, stating that the implementation of this plan not only helps with the imbalance but also increases the gas received from gas platforms and prevents the pressure drop in wells due to lack of operation. With the start of this project, approximately 10 million cubic meters of gas is added to the country's gas capacity, which is equivalent to the consumption of 3 large urea-producing units.

In conclusion, while appreciating the efforts of the managers and employees of Bushehr Petrochemical, especially Engineer Alireza Mahdavi, the CEO of this company, he stated: The realization of this project in a short period is the result of the commitment, expertise, jihadist spirit, and round-the-clock efforts of the large family of Bushehr Petrochemical.
