Admiral Habibollah Siyari, Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated in an interview about the latest situation of the Strait of Hormuz: "The west of the Strait of Hormuz, the strait itself, and the Persian Gulf are under the complete control of the Navy of the IRGC, while the east of the Strait of Hormuz and the northern Indian Ocean are under the complete control of the Navy of the Army."
Readiness of the Army's Navy to Counter Threats
Admiral Siyari further added: "We act decisively in the north of the Sea of Oman and the east of the Strait of Hormuz and will not allow anyone to pass. On the other side, the IRGC brothers are firmly standing. The rhetoric from the enemy is a separate issue, and the reality is that the Strait of Hormuz is completely under our control."

Emphasizing the high readiness of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran to counter any threats, he said: "Every war has lessons, and the important thing is that the personnel of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the hierarchy, staffs, and combatants, learn these lessons and apply them to enhance capabilities."
Strengthening Strengths and Addressing Weaknesses
Admiral Siyari added: "We identify our lessons learned, pinpoint our weaknesses, and strengthen them, preparing for the next stages; therefore, today we can say we are much more prepared than before; as over time we have addressed our weaknesses and strengthened our strengths, and we have the capability to stand against threats."
These statements come at a time when tensions in the Persian Gulf region and around the Strait of Hormuz have increased due to international sanctions and political and military confrontations. The Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized its readiness to protect national interests and maritime security, and it seems that this readiness is a key strategy in the country's defense policies.
