WISTA International has officially launched Associate Membership to strengthen collaborations and diversity in the maritime industry. Elpi Petraki, President of WISTA International, stated that the growing interest of organizations in supporting WISTA has led to this initiative.
Purpose of Creating Associate Membership
Petraki mentioned that given the various challenges faced by different countries, broad collaboration with entities aligned with WISTA's vision is essential. She added, "Our hope is that this new level of membership will enhance access to the growing international WISTA network and strengthen our relationships with maritime industry partners."

Membership Criteria and Benefits
Associate Membership is intended for entities operating in maritime, trade, logistics, transportation, port, maritime transport, energy, or related sectors that can demonstrate clear alignment with WISTA's mission. These entities must also be active in at least two countries. Associate member organizations can nominate up to three representatives to participate in NWA activities.
On the occasion of the launch of this membership, WISTA International is offering free membership until the end of this year for any organization that applies for Associate Membership by December 31, 2026.
