Seyed Mohammad Atabak, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, at the thirtieth National Export Day ceremony, highlighted the necessity of establishing a High Council for Non-Oil Exports to remove barriers to foreign trade and strengthen Iran's presence in global markets. He emphasized the need to review export regulations and procedures, calling for expedited decision-making and the creation of a nimble mechanism to support exporters.

The Necessity of Reviewing Export Procedures

Atabak stated that current export laws and regulations must align with the country's current conditions. According to him, some of these regulations were formulated based on normal conditions, and continuing their implementation without regard to existing developments could harm the export process. Therefore, executive agencies and the banking system must adopt appropriate measures to facilitate exporters' activities.

Establishment of a High Council for Non-Oil Exports

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade also referred to the necessity of establishing a High Council for Non-Oil Exports, stating that this council can expedite the resolution of issues by systematically examining the problems faced by exporters and making effective decisions. Atabak proposed that a committee be formed with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and the Central Bank to review the opinions of economic activists and present them to the High Council for Exports.

He also announced the unveiling of Iran's Export Atlas, which examines the export capacities of 271 products in 31 provinces and 27 markets. This atlas can serve as a guide for identifying business opportunities and leveraging the country's production capabilities.

The Presence of Iranian Traders in the Eurasian Market

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade emphasized the necessity of strengthening the presence of Iranian traders in the Eurasian Economic Union, highlighting the commercial potentials of the union. He stated that by recognizing business opportunities and facilitating export processes, the capacity of trade agreements should be utilized.

Furthermore, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehvari, the head of the Trade Development Organization, announced the formulation of 10 proposals to remove trade barriers and develop exports, stressing the importance of supporting exporters. He declared that exporters have continued their activities and remained committed to their obligations despite the challenging economic conditions.

Dehghan Dehvari also evaluated the country's foreign trade performance as significant under sanctions and war conditions, stating that National Export Day should be recognized as a day of appreciation for exporters who have maintained the link between the domestic market and foreign customers.
