The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) has for the first time introduced three regions in Iran as the country's first green areas. These regions, by supplying 100% of their electricity consumption from solar energy, are recognized as successful examples in overcoming dependence on clean electricity exporters.
Details of Electricity Supply from Solar Energy
Statistics show that in Semnan province and the city of Biarjomand, with a capacity of 24 megawatts and a consumption of 7 megawatts, 17 megawatts of surplus power is sent to the national electricity grid. Additionally, in the Kalpush region, with a capacity of 12 megawatts and a consumption of 7 megawatts, 5 megawatts of surplus electricity is injected. In Mahdishahr, with a capacity of 18 megawatts and a consumption of 15 megawatts, 3 megawatts of surplus electricity is added to the national grid. In total, these three regions transfer 25 megawatts of clean electricity from a capacity of 54 megawatts to the national grid.

Consequences and Importance of This Success
This success, in addition to reducing fossil fuel consumption and strengthening passive defense, is proposed as a practical model for addressing energy imbalance and initiating the formation of carbon-neutral cities in the country's energy transition map. These regions not only contribute to enhancing the sustainability of the electricity grid but can also serve as a turning point for the development of renewable energy in the country.
Increasing solar energy capacities and introducing green areas will pave the way for a transformation in the country's energy policies towards more sustainable and carbon-neutral consumption. This initiative can also provide models for other regions of the country to exploit similar capacities.
