Reza Sepahvand, spokesman for the Energy Commission of the Parliament, highlighted the importance of conservation and consumption management in addressing energy imbalances in the country. He believes that the only sustainable path to solve this issue is through real optimization and efficient use of energy resources.
Conservation Does Not Mean Limiting
Sepahvand noted that conservation does not mean restricting people or imposing hardships. The main goal is to enhance efficiency and use standard, low-consumption equipment that can provide the same output with significantly less energy consumption.
Attention to Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
He also referred to the challenges in the gasoline and transportation sector, stating that the main direction should be towards hybrid and electric vehicles. According to him, certificates of conservation will be issued for low-consumption vehicles, and ride-hailing companies like Snapp and Tap30 have also expressed their interest in electrifying their fleets.
Sepahvand emphasized that these certificates can help users achieve greater savings by taking advantage of these benefits.
Conservation Certificates in the Residential Gas Sector
In the residential gas sector, Sepahvand announced the issuance of conservation certificates to citizens who have optimized their consumption. These certificates can allow citizens to benefit from savings through cashing or trading on the stock exchange.
The spokesman for the Energy Commission of the Parliament stressed that consumption management and energy optimization not only help reduce energy imbalance but can also lead to increased efficiency and reduced household costs. Therefore, attention to these matters should be prioritized as a macro strategy.
