Rescuers recovered four bodies from the fishing vessel Triumf, which caught fire on September 25, 2026, off the coast of Kamchatka. The vessel was on a voyage when the incident occurred, and 29 crew members were on board at the time of the incident.

The vessel Triumf was heading south towards Kamchatka when it suddenly caught fire. Of the 29 crew members on board, 25 were rescued by another vessel. Firefighting Operations and Consequences
Upon arrival at the port, firefighting teams boarded the vessel and began their work, but due to the high volume of water used for extinguishing, the stability of the vessel was compromised, and operations were halted. Subsequently, all doors and vents were closed, allowing the fire to extinguish itself. On September 28, conditions improved sufficiently for firefighting operations to resume, during which the bodies of four missing crew members were found.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that the internal damage to the vessel is extensive and a criminal investigation is underway, focusing on the potential violation of safety regulations. Initial lines of inquiry include a possible malfunction in the vessel's electrical system or crew error.
