PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari (ELPI), an Indonesian offshore vessel operator, has signed a three-year lease contract worth $12.04 million with Atlantic Maritime Group based in the United Arab Emirates. This contract pertains to two service vessels, Kazo Agility 2 and Kazo Agility 3, which are dedicated to supporting offshore connectivity and transportation activities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Details of the Vessels and Their Delivery

The vessels Kazo Agility 2 and Kazo Agility 3 were built by the shipbuilder PT Orela Shipyard. The Kazo Agility 2 was delivered in 2024, and its sister ship, Kazo Agility 3, will be added to the waters of the Persian Gulf in 2025. Both service and supply vessels are designed to be approximately 40.3 meters long.

Operations and Collaboration with Saudi Aramco

In September, ELPI reported that both vessels are currently working for Saudi Aramco. This collaboration reflects ELPI's intention to expand offshore vessel contracts in the region. Recently, ELPI also secured a long-term marine services contract worth 2.39 trillion rupiah (equivalent to $131.69 million) for the planned floating LNG development in Bintuni Bay, West Papua. This 18-year contract includes six vessels, including one offshore supply vessel, three multipurpose tugboats, one service boat, and one propulsion boat.

This new contract is part of ELPI's recent efforts to expand its fleet, which includes the purchase of the multipurpose vessel Bourbon Evolution 805 earlier this year. These steps reflect the company's long-term plans for a more active presence in offshore markets and meeting the needs of the oil and gas industry in the Persian Gulf.
