The Persian Gulf Mehr Refinery is being prepared for operation by the end of September. Brigadier General Abdolreza Abed, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, stated that with the launch of the first phase of this refinery, 13 million liters will be added daily to the country's gasoline production capacity and 4 million liters to the diesel production capacity.
Actions After the Bombing of Oil Warehouses
Brigadier General Abed further emphasized the importance of securing fuel for the people, stating that after the bombing of the oil warehouses in Shahr-e-Rey, which occurred due to the significance of this facility in supplying fuel to the west and north of the country and the capital, necessary actions to manage the situation were quickly initiated. About 24 hours after the incident, he arrived at the site, and in coordination with the Ministry of Oil and the refining sector, forces were organized to control the fire and manage the situation.

New Solutions for Fuel Supply
The commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters added that in the shortest possible time, sections of the fire that could be controlled were managed, and simultaneously a new design for the continuation of fuel supply was put into action. Given the damage to some infrastructure, transportation lines and fuel transfer routes were reorganized to ensure that we could supply the necessary fuel to various regions.
Brigadier General Abed emphasized that the main goal of these actions was to prevent the interruption of fuel supply in critical conditions, especially during peak travel times, so that fuel supply to heavily trafficked routes, including Mashhad and the northern regions, could continue without interruption.
Experiences Gained from the Star Refinery of the Persian Gulf
Brigadier General Abed explained that the experiences gained from the Star Refinery of the Persian Gulf were utilized in the implementation of the Persian Gulf Mehr Refinery. He also mentioned that the Star Refinery of the Persian Gulf currently produces about 45 million liters of gasoline daily, and the Persian Gulf Mehr Refinery will also be operational by the end of September.
